Needs and attitudes of leaders of leisure activities in relation to the sexuality of adolescents
MAČÍ, Lucie
The presented bachelor's thesis deals with the attitude and needs of youth workers working in NGOs in relation to the topic of adolescent sexuality. The theoretical part first describes the legal system under which the youth workers act and it then contextualizes local non-governmental organizations which the youth workers are a part of. Lastly, the theoretical part provides an introduction to the topic of adolescent sexuality. The practical part of this undergraduate thesis consists of a qualitative research. The data were collected via semi-structured interviews carried out with three respondents of the target group (meaning youth workers). Considering the nature of the research question, the data were subsequently phenomenologically interpreted so that the phenomena which arose from the research could be better defined and understood.
NGOs and humanitarian aid
RADOSTOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis aims to describe the activities of non-governmental organisations and the provision of humanitarian aid and subsequently to find out what knowledge the citizens of the South Bohemian Region possess within these topics. The theoretical section contains individual information that defines specifically the content of non-governmental organisations, as well as humanitarian aid. The bachelor thesis selects and defines organizations that operate on the territory of the South Bohemian Region, including basic information on the provision of assistance to affected residents. An integrated rescue system is also mentioned in this work, which corresponds with the theme of this bachelor thesis through its activities. The research part is conducted by guided interviews and questionnaire surveys dealing with two research issues. To achieve the first goal and answer the research question "What humanitarian aid do non-governmental organisations provide?" managed interview questions have been set up that target specific non-governmental organisations. The questionnaire focused on the second question of the research section "What is the knowledge of the population of the South Bohemia Region about the provision of humanitarian aid?" In controlled interviews, I was given information such as ways of presenting the public, the most frequent target group or how many voluntary donors the organization has. Their most frequent activities include financial and manual assistance. Responses obtained in the research section showed that residents in the South Bohemia Region have at least a basic overview of the provision of humanitarian aid and non-governmental organisations. Respondents knew who could become a member of a non-governmental organisation and what are the examples of humanitarian aid.
Integration of families of people with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) into daily life
VANÍČKOVÁ, Kristýna
The bachelor's thesis deals with the issues connected to the life of children with ASD and their families. The main goal of this work is to describe the issues accompanying the family life and to find out how families of these children participate in everyday life, what services they use and in what way these services help them. The practical part is carried out through the form of a qualitative research strategy, the method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interviews. The research group consists of 8 families of children with ASD, aged from 6 to 18, living in the South Bohemian Region. The snowball sampling method was chosen to select the research set. Interviews are conducted with the mothers of the children. The research results were evaluated by the open coding method. The method created 13 categories with individual codes. Each category contains at least 3 codes and at most 7 codes. The results of the research showed that the participation of the families takes place through non-governmental organizations providing social services. All the families that were interviewed have experience with this form of help and evaluate it very positively. Most often, the families work with the organization Autis Centrum, o. p. s., whose headquarters is located in České Budějovice. The most used services are social activation services for families with children and a relief service. Through these services families gain free time which they devote to rest, the children's siblings and other common activities that are not possible in the child's company. The research revealed how time-consuming the care for children with ASD is and showed the complexity of the family situation. The complex situation involves changes in family, social circles and employment. This bachelor thesis could serve as a source of information for students or also for the larger society. It could also serve as feedback to the aforementioned non-governmental organizations which provide social services.
Social services and non - governmental organizations in social security
Zelinová, Alena ; Koldinská, Kristina (advisor) ; Štefko, Martin (referee)
Historically, social security started to arise due to the need of preventing social unrest rather than of the need of helping people. Although the society has developed itself towards sophisticated tools of social politics - including social services - general awareness about their significance and their social prestige are still very low. The goal of this paper is therefore to draw attention to the activities of workers and volunteers working in social services and highlight the problems the providers as well as users of the social services and public authorities contend with. The first part of this paper pursues historic development of social security institutes, which to a great extent determines their current form. The second part of this paper concentrates on an up-to-date valid social services adaptation which has been regarded by experts to be indeed revolutional. It entirely changes the conception of a users services role from passive care recipients to active agents in finding a solution in their own hard life situations. The third part of this paper concerns with non-governmental organizations, especially the ones, which inherently belong to a social domain for being bearers of civic participation values, personal responsibility, plurality of interests and views, democratic...

The result is the following statement, which is valid for both cases: All employees are able to interpret the mission of their organization through their own values and experiences. Whether the employee's mission is shared or not shared, or employees consider it to be part of a formal, is...

Diploma thesis is concerning about cooperation between human rights, non-profit, non- governmental organizations and the Ombudsman. Area of service and competence of the Ombudsman in recent years has significantly widened, which could be interesting and useful for the civil sector, and that it is primarily for the mentioned non-governmental organizations. The aim is to determine whether there is between these actors cooperation or not, optionally in which areas. Thesis is based on the theory of division of power, and assumes that the actors will be willingness to cooperate. Whether this actually works, was investigated by means of mixed research, starting from the survey between human rights organizations, and consequently more views on cooperation were gathered from interviews. The outcome of this thesis is to find in what specific areas cooperation proceeds, why cooperation does not appear and where they could find points of contact of cooperation.
